Progression, along with HP and Veeam, hosted an evening filled with conversations, tech and fun recently.
The topic of the day was New Style of IT. JB Hooda, Co-Founder & Director, Progression, welcomed the guests and spoke about the three key things needed for an always available IT infrastructure: the right expertise, the right tools and technologies and the right attitude.
Prabal Mittal, Business Manager – HP StorageWorks – Public Sector, spoke about the need for storage to be simplified for the new style of IT, the new demands made on business because of the requirement to be always on. He introduced to the audience the HP 3PAR StoreServ system that works across requirements of value, performance and scale. He also spoke about ONE Architecture as the concept behind the support for truly converged file, block, and object access in new HP 3PAR StoreServ 7000.
Saif Adil, Manager Presales-SAARC, Veeam, spoke about businesses seeing a gap between the needs of an always-on business and the capabilities of data protection and backup solutions. He mentioned that about 85% of customers experiencing problems with backup and recovery due to Costs, Capabilities, Complexity. He introduced the guests to Veeam’s Availability Suite for the modern data center.


Once the business conversations were done, it was time for the band, Turkush to take the stage and enthrall the audience. It was great to see senior IT professionals having a rocking time as the band belted out their favorite numbers.
